DNA accounting of suspected, accused and imprisoned convicts : questions of legal regulation
The article discusses the possibility of using the information contained in the criminal record of DNA biological objects, to identify certain categories of persons for the purpose of disclosing and investigation of crimes, and the procedure of registration of convicts serving sentences of imprisonment. On the base of the analysis of the current domestic and foreign laws, regulating covering registration and genomic DNA profiles on forensic accounting, it justifies the need to extend the list of persons subject to mandatory genomic registration in the Russian Federation, in order to improve the efficiency of the use of accounting in the fight against crime.
