Ways to improve the effectiveness of scientific support of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia

Аrticle is devoted to questions of the organization, functioning and coordination of research activity in Federal service of execution of punish-ments of Russia, problems existing in this sphere are considered and ways of their decision are offered. Including questions of advance planning and resource ensuring research activity in activity of Federal service of execution of punishments of Russia, improvement of system of introduction of scientific production in practical activities of bodies and establishments of criminal and executive system, strengthening of a coordinating role of activity of Federal service of execution of punishments of Russia and Research institute of Federal service of execution of punishments of Russia in this sphere are discussed.
