Convicts’ notions of the circumstances in which they committed their crimes
The article examines the notions of convicts serving a term of imprisonment about the circumstances in which they committed their crimes. It describes types of psychological defense mechanisms they employ to maintain appreciation of themselves and justify their criminal behavior.
